This is an exciting time to join The Charles Dickens School as it joined Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) on 1 March 2017 working in partnership with Barton Court Grammar School Academy, an outstanding rated co-educational grammar school in Canterbury. The Post
A dedicated and enthusiastic Second in English is required for Easter 2020 or sooner in this over-subscribed non-selective, school which benefits from state-of-the-art new buildings and is situated in a beautiful part of the South East coast. The School enjoys a good reputation locally, with dedicated colleagues and enthusiastic students. Staff hold high expectations for all students and work tirelessly to continue to raise attainment and achievement.
The successful candidate should be able to deliver excellence in the classroom, providing innovative and inspirational teaching and learning with effective use of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement for all students. The Second in English is accountable for significant, specified responsibilities focused on teaching and learning and support of literacy and reading programmes, Gifted & Talented development and after school clubs and activities will be expected.
