University Workshop Experience
Posted on: 12/03/2019Students have been involved in a number of different workshops developing their understanding of university and careers.
A group of Year 9 students were involved in a “University Life” workshop with the University of Kent which saw them learning about the typical experiences of students. They were given the chance to design their own University Society!
A selection of Year 8 students completed a session with Canterbury Christ Church University which focused on there being “More than One Direction” to University study. They designed their own character and followed their studies through school right up until their graduation. In addition, a separate group of Year 9 students completed a number of sessions with “We are Tech Girls” which gave them an opportunity to design their own technology to support health. They completed a number of STEM based activities and a careers session.
All students have really enjoyed these sessions and have learnt a great deal. The School would like to thank all of the students involved for their fantastic level of focus and also the external providers who ran the sessions to such a high standard.
