Year 7 Get Creative with Turner Contemporary

A group of Year 7 students took part in a workshop at Turner Contemporary aimed at developing their creative risk-taking, communication skills and problem solving.  The workshop helped raise their level of questioning and built confidence for them as artists and as individuals.

Students enjoyed a guided tour of the gallery before taking part in discussions on the work of Patrick Heron and then working in pairs created a piece of work responding to the artist. The students’ final work was exhibited at the gallery for public viewing.
