Transition Sculpture

A workshop organised by The Turner Centre set the scene for CDS Year 7 Art students to create collaborative sculptures that explored the idea of “transition”. Students were asked to consider their own transition from primary school to secondary school, and the changes that they faced during that time.

Each individual sculpture created a colourful perspective which allowed objects to be viewed differently, and in a more positive light. These smaller sculptures were then fitted together to create one large conjoined piece, demonstrating how each of us can support one another.
