World Book Day 2022
Posted on: 03/03/2022To celebrate World Book Day today and to raise the School’s reading profile, students entered a competition called “The Masked Reader”. The presentation was played at the end of students’ second lesson and everyone took part. Six members of CDS staff recorded extracts from the School’s six cultural capital reading books, and they were disguised, just like the Masked Singer! There were some interesting and amusing accents to disguise their voices and students were asked to identify the member of staff and also the book from which they were reading.
There was a prize draw for all those with correct answers.
A reveal of who’s who will be made to students at the end of the week!
Staff have also shared their love of their own books with students today, displaying their favourites in their classrooms and spending a few minutes sharing why they like them so much.
