Health & Social Care Workshop

CDS Year 11 Health and Social Care students took part in a workshop, delivered by the Health and Care Engagement Team from Canterbury Christ Church University.

Students were able to use simulation equipment to learn how to take blood pressure, perform CPR and use a defibrillator. They also had the opportunity to feel what it might be like to be an elderly person who is experiencing mobility issues, as well as various types of visual impairment.

These experiences encourage empathy and offer an insight into inspirational Health and Social Care careers.
