Navy Chefs come to CDS

Two CDS Hospitality classes were lucky enough to have the Navy Chefs come into school to work with them. After briefing them about the potential for careers within the catering arm of the Navy, and showing some amazing pictures of cooking around the world, the Chefs set our students a ready, steady, cook challenge working in teams. They were asked to make spaghetti and meatballs and a swiss roll, plate up and present single portions.

After tasting the final dishes each class involved had a winning group who were presented with Navy Cook T-shirts.

Can learning be fun? - ‘absolutely, yes!’ – the kids had a great time! … and the Navy Chefs were really impressed with the behaviour and hard work demonstrated. Well done 9A and 9D Hospitality students.
