A Royal Celebration

Year 9 Hospitality and Catering students hosted a celebration for the marriage of HRH Prince Harry of Wales to Miss Meghan Markle and invited parents, carers, staff and Governors to a delicious afternoon tea.

 

The event was 3 weeks in the planning, creating mood boards, sample menus, decoration research and practicing dishes.

 

Students served up a range of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, fresh fruit tarts and mini victoria sandwiches to 40 special guests! This was their first experience of hosting any type of hospitality event and at times, although the pressure was on, they pulled together as a team and delivered to a high class standard! There was lots of positive feedback from parents, carers and staff alike and we are all very proud of the students’ achievement at the event.
