PRESS RELEASE The Charles Dickens School is the highest performing non-selective school in East Kent for the second consecutive year

The recent School Performance Tables (released on Thursday 5 December) have identified The Charles Dickens School as the highest performing non-selective school in East Kent, based on the headline Progress 8 measure. The school achieved a score of +0.22, higher than all the other eighteen non-selective schools in Thanet, Canterbury and Swale.

Warren Smith, CDS headteacher said, “It is so rare for a non-selective school to record a positive Progress 8 score, and to do this for a second consecutive year is a reflection of the strong academic culture we have at CDS.”

Additionally, CDS also recorded the highest Attainment 8 of all non-selective schools in East Kent.
