We had a bumper night at KS4 Cooking Skills Club and, continuing with our popular TikTok recipe theme, students took on the challenge of making pan-fried hash browns completely from scratch. A hugely successful session with some seriously impressive results!

Our Y9 pupils have been developing their observational drawing skills by exploring mark making with ink to capture the intricate details and textures of shells. The results were fantastic, with excellent examples demonstrating creativity, precision and attention to detail.

Our Y11 after-school intervention programme launched this week, with an impressive 66% of students attending extra GCSE support sessions. Interventions run after school Tuesday to Friday and pupils should check the in school timetable for more information.

We're collecting donations for the Salvation Army Food Bank to support local families in need.  Donations can be given to your Tutor, Head of Year or Mr Allen.  Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference. Thank you for your support and generosity.

KS4 Life Skills Cooking Club took on another viral TikTok recipe this week: Mama’s Crispy Chicken Wings with hot honey drizzle! They practised butchery, marinating and oven-baking techniques, discovering the secret to extra crispy wings: baking powder. Next week, something sweet!

The Post

Required as soon as possible this post is suitable for someone who wishes to pursue a career in teaching and would like to gain further experience in the workplace or someone who enjoys enabling students to learn and wants to play an integral role in supporting teaching and learning in a school.  Cover Supervisors supervise students in the absence of teachers to enable learning to continue. 

Candidates must be excellent communicators, motivated, able to work independently, have good ICT skills and be educated to a degree level or equivalent.

Hours of work are 08.00am-16.00 Mon-Thu, 8.05-16.00 Fri. These hours include a 35 minute unpaid lunch break.  This is a term time only post - 0.8301 FTE.
